A.K.A. Before and After Pictures
My son and I had a project that we bonded over…teen boys room renovation. While his room before was intentionally not too juvenile, it was done during his Star Wars phase. We compromised and found a gallon of “oops” paint in what we call “Yoda” green. We also created a grid wall with accent colors.
Now that my son is in high school, fast forward to his room renovation that more accurately reflect his style and interests.
We chose a color called Kendal Charcoal by Benjamin Moore for the main focus wall of his room. Here’s my son painting…it turns out he is a really good painter! A skill that is always handy. This color dries much darker than it looks when wet.
What a difference paint makes! I was looking for a color that was almost like a seasoned chalkboard.
The other three walls were painted in Benjamin Moore Moonshine. It is a light warm grey. Not too blue, not too green….just right with the light in this room.
I will be posting more on this room transformation in upcoming posts. Check back to find out how to create crown moulding and trim with only the cost of a can of paint.
