New Treasures – A French Chandelier For My Kitchen
This weekend I did something I have wanted to do for about 2 years! Fredericksburg Trade Days. This flea market is once every month, but it seems with busy lives we always have had something going on. It is like a mini Canton, or Warrenton I am told. So fortunately, this weekend my daughter and I went and found some treasures!
I have been looking high and low for a vintage french chandie. Then I saw this:
The owner of the booth just got it from an estate auction and had not had time to hang it up yet. So I bought it before it was gone! And by everything I can determine, it was quite a bargain! Meant to be. My hubby installed it this weekend, and here she is:
Isn’t she pretty! You can see the beginnings of my gallery wall in the background, more on that in a later post.
I was also so happy to find out that I have been featured at Kathleen’s beautiful blog: Between Blue And Yellow. Her transformations are amazing and are featured in such places as Miss Mustard Seed and other well known blogs. I admire her work, so you can imagine how flattered I was. Take a look at this table Kathleen refinished:
Hop on over to her blog and you can see how she transformed this beautiful piece. Thank you Kathleen!
